In 2012, Tennille co-founded Divas, MPH, a groundbreaking women’s health initiative that supported thousands of women with prioritizing their total health and wellness. A few years later, she partnered with longtime sister-friend Maaden Eshete Jones to create Citrus + Sugar, a wellness company that showed women how to live purpose-led and joy-filled lives. The mark that Tennille is leaving on the world is a result not only of her academic degrees, but her God-given destiny. Diddy (as she is affectionately known) is my no holds barred friend... very candid, a little bossy, but she does everything with love and the desire to see her friends happy. And she's my go to for a great bougie experience.
Keep in mind she’s an artist and she’s sensitive about her sh*t. Some people might say she’s sensitive, others may take her no nonsense attitude at times as “mean”. I learned a long time ago that your heart and mind both work overtime. Being thoughtfully reflective is one of your gifts and when you aren’t using it on yourself, you aren’t afraid to pay it forward which can also resemble a bit of tough love at times. But I know it’s heavy on the love.
When I think of Tennille Daniels, my mind goes to AIMing high. The “A” is for ambition - Tennille is ambition personified! She is never stagnant and exudes ambition whenever she undertakes a new experience or challenge. The “I” is for inspiration. Tennille inspires me to be a better version of myself. When I share the good and bad, she’s always supportive (even when she’s collecting me lol). And when she shares the good and the bad, there’s always hope and light. That is inspirational. The “M” is for memorable. Tee has the ability to leave a lasting impression. She’s creative and genuinely thoughtful. Experiences with her are always memorable. When I think of the teen I met and the woman I know today, she encourages me to always AIM high.
Visionary (adj. Thinking about or planning the future with imagination or wisdom; related words are introspective and grandiose). When I think about the things she loves and the way she brings joy to others, this definition sums it up. Whether it’s planning a space, a trip, an event, or an experience, she not only thinks big, but backs it up with flawless execution. Watching her work that magic always has me in awe.
Faithful. I see her as a faithful champion for both God and the people she loves. In the many years I’ve known her, what always stands out is how she continuously shows up and shows out for her family and close friends, never asking for much in return. Over the past several years, I’ve watched her grow more and more in her devotion to God and His purpose for her life. It’s been beautiful to watch.
Tee is truly a renaissance woman! She is creative, thoughtful, resourceful, loyal, kind and faithful. She is “ride or die” and her friendship knows no boundaries. What I admire most about Tee is her passion and zest for life and experiencing ALL, and I do mean ALL, that life has to offer. She is a God fearing woman who prioritizes faith, family and friendship.
